An eraser is both a humble helper and a force to be reckoned with. It gently fixes our mistakes, but in careless hands, it can wipe away even our brightest creations. That is why we must wield it with care.
Since we are reflecting on erasers, here is a thought to ponder: when you wish to fix a past mistake, you must be willing to release a piece of yourself, whether it is pride, attachment, or desire.
You can continue to write your whole life only after letting go of your bad parts, just as an eraser sheds pieces of itself to remove mistakes from the past.
And if you don’t want to correct your mistake because you fear that you will lose something, then you will never get anything.
So it’s good to let go of something if you want to truly gain anything meaningful (and I am not talking about material th
ings).
