How today's Generation mistaking the term 'LOVE'!

What is love is a big question in today's environment, where the new generation has many words for Love. They call it situation-ship, they call it a hookup, they call it an open relationship, and many more. To be honest i didn't know anything about these terms before November 2025.

But now what we see is that most boys and girls are misusing the term 'Love'. They think Love is being physical in a relation and if any of the partners don't want to be physical, they say you don't love me, or you don't trust me.

In today's time, people judge a girl's character by her body count, and I totally agree with that. I know many of the girls will disagree with why people only judge girls, not boys, and to be honest i agree with that too. As the society has shaped it this way, that no matter whose fault it was, if a female is in it, the mistake is hers. If a woman gets rapped, people will say why she was roaming alone, or why she was not dressed properly, why don't they say why men don't control their bad thinking about a woman, why they see all women like a toy. I know that most times, a boy forces a girl to be physical with him, but they should know that nobody can forcefully make them do something that they don't want to do.

Social media, Movies, and series have normalised it to get physically involved with someone whom you don't know fully, or who you meet a month or a couple of months before.

Now, what is LOVE really?

Love is when you and your partner have the same feelings for each other. You both trust each other, and you both respect each other's boundaries.

Now you will think, why should we have boundaries in a relationship like Husband and Wife? Respecting boundaries means not over-interfering in each other's lives.

If you are in a relationship, try this; it is not a challenge, but it will help you to make your relationship with your partner stronger.

First of all, you both have to put your phones on silent and look each other in the eyes for 10 minutes, and think positively about your future with each other, and see this imagination while holding eye contact, and see, after 2 minutes, your partner's eyes will start to shine, their eyes will get numb, and it will starts to sparkle, and after 10 minutes share your imagination with each other and then you will know how serious your partner is.

And 90% if the time the relationship got stronger and deeper.

So, what is love really?

"Love is when you are ready to do anything for your partner, and when your partner doesn't want anything from you."

Not wanting anything means anything apart from needs. Like love is a need, not a want.
